Take Your AI Agent Into a Real Workflow

Connect the tools. Run a controlled pilot. Prepare for the handoff.

Move from a standalone demonstration toward a system someone can use in their work.

Practice connecting an agent to a sandbox business tool, managing access, monitoring results, and recovering when something goes wrong. Develop the customer-facing and technical skills used in forward-deployed engineering.

What you’ll work on

  • Translate a business requirement into an integration and acceptance test.
  • Connect a bounded workflow to a sandbox tool.
  • Configure access and keep credentials out of public code.
  • Add human approval before consequential actions.
  • Set up basic monitoring and failure reporting.
  • Define a rollback plan and an accountable operating owner.

Leave with

  • An integration plan for one clearly defined business workflow.
  • A guided sandbox exercise connecting an agent to a tool.
  • A checklist for credentials, permissions, and human approval.
  • A monitoring and rollback plan.
  • A short operating guide explaining who owns the system and how to get help.

Technical participants can work toward a sandbox deployment. Business participants can define requirements and acceptance criteria for their implementation.

Hands-on challenge: Customer Curveball

A customer changes a requirement halfway through the exercise. Adjust the scope, update your tests, and explain the trade-off.

Free networking hour

Connect business needs with implementation skills and discuss possible collaborations.

Bring: Your laptop and a scoped workflow. Use sample data or information you are authorized to share.

Free for IEEE SPS members · Non-member pricing to be announced

Work in a sandbox or approved pilot environment. Readiness for production depends on the system and its validation. In-person and digital participation arrangements will be announced with each event.
