Build an AI Agent a Company Would TrustWorkshop by Live AI Dream · IEEE networking hour

Thursday, November 19, 2026 · 4–6 PM · The Basement, UC San Diego

Build an AI agent a company would trust, in one hour.

Most people stop at a demo. In this hands-on hour you build a working AI agent, then govern it: every action it takes checked in real time, risky steps held for a person to approve, everything recorded. That is what companies need before an agent goes anywhere near production. You walk out having done it, with a platform of 700+ connected apps to keep going.

Workshop 1 of 4: November, January, February, March. IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS) members get all four free. Not a member yet? Students join SPS for just $4 a year and they are in. See how →

Then the bonus hour: stay from 5 to 6 PM to network with San Diego's AI builders, researchers and industry teams, with pizza and cold drinks.

What you get

Everything you need to build an agent a company would trust.

01

A working agent, built by you

Step by step: give it a task, let it use tools, make it recover when something fails. Bring a laptop; nothing to install in advance.

02

The skill that gets agents approved

Connect your agent to Keystile and watch it governed live: the action checked, the risky step held for a person, the decision recorded. This is what teams ask about before they say yes.

03

Take home a supercharged agent platform

4 months of Keystile AI platform access, included with your workshop seat. Plug your agents into 700+ apps (Gmail, Slack, Google Drive, Salesforce, Notion and hundreds more), every action governed, credits included, so Friday morning you are still building.

04

Taught by someone who ships

Chhavi Jain, founder and Chief AI Officer of Live AI Dream: 20+ years in machine learning and telecommunications at Qualcomm, Intel and Nokia; SPS San Diego Vice Chair.

05

Bonus: network and showcase

Right after the build, an hour of networking and a community project showcase with San Diego's AI students, researchers and industry practitioners, sponsored by SPS and the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, with IEEE societies across San Diego. Pizza and cold drinks served.

06

Proof you did it: a certificate*

Finish the build and leave with a certificate of participation. Put it on LinkedIn the same night. A working room, not a lecture hall: you get help when you are stuck, so seats are limited.

No prior AI experience needed; some comfort with code helps.
*Certificate subject to final Society approval.

Who it's for

For people who want to do it, not just hear about it.

  • Students who want a real AI agent project to talk about in interviews.
  • Engineers and researchers who need to know how agents are kept safe in production.
  • Leaders and founders deciding whether, and how, to let agents act for their team.

Workshop 1 of 4 · November · January · February · March

SPS members get all four free.

Each workshop builds on the last. Come to one and leave with a working agent; come to all four and take it from prototype to something a company runs in production. SPS members get every one of them as part of their membership.

Students can join SPS for just $4: join online or scan the code, then choose the SPS member ticket below.

Bring it to your team

Work with Live AI Dream.

What you build in this workshop is how we work with companies: agents that do real work, governed so they stay safe.

  • AI work for your company: agents and automations built with your team, from prototype to production.
  • Private workshops: this hands-on format for your engineers or leadership, on your own use cases.
  • Governance for your AI agents: set up with tools like Keystile, so every action is checked, risky ones are held for a person, and everything is recorded.
